Congregational Federation in Scotland Prayer Diary July - December 2011 Please use this calendary to pray, in pulpit and in private, for the churches and topics on the dates shown. Others is prayer for other Scottish Christian work. November 20 Kilmarnock. Minister: Dr Ivy Barclay Give thanks for the team spirit to work together, helped by Ivy’s recent Induction. Pray for ways of building bridges between the church and the young families involved in uniformed organisations. Motherwell. Minister: Rev Darren Darlow Pray for church and minister as they work together to move forward in service and witness.
November 27 Airdrie – Pilgrim. Minister: Rev Sam Pattison We give you thanks for the success of “Hub” Youth Praise every month, and for our community facility now being used most days. We are having unity talks with other churches in Monklands. Pray for guidance. We celebrate our 178th Anniversary this year. Kirkcaldy- West End. Minister: Rev William McNaughton
December 4th Airdrie- Coatdyke. Minister: Rev Tom Wilson We give praise for all the celebrations of our centenary year as we look forward to the next century. Our closing Centenary service takes place today with the Rev Michael Heaney, Federation Secretary Tillicoultry. Pastor: Peter McCool
December 11 Ardrossan. Minister: Rev Jim Smith Our re-dedication/celebration service after all the repairs was a wonderful occasion and well attended. Our Church Anniversary is today. Aberdeen – Balmedie. Minister: Rev Andy Cowie Others Pray for those working with the homeless especially at Christmas – may none go short of food or shelter at this time.
December 18 Christmas and New Year Let us pray that all our churches will celebrate Christmas with joy and that many people will come to share with them in their worship now and in 2012 Scotland Pray for our recently elected MSPs that they will lead us carefully and wisely through the present difficult economic times.
December 25 Avoch. Minister: Rev John Marker We give thanks for our new Minister, and pray that the church will move forward strongly in its service and witness in the coming days. National Council Pray for wisdom and vision and especially for those who represent us on this and other national committees. Pray too for the national secretary, Rev Michael Heaney and all the staff.
